Dr. Rodney Littlejohn

Orthodontist Creates a Unique Experience For His Patients

Four years ago, Dr. Rodney Littlejohn designed and built a state-of-the-art orthodontics facility in Waterloo. His goal was to make patients feel like honored guests. The lobby has the look and feel of a fine hotel.  Along with the beautiful décor and furnishings are a fireplace, café, wide screen TV, game room and a staff of employees ready to greet patients. “We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home,” says Dr. Littlejohn. “We put their needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment.”

Dr. Littlejohn has been in practice since 1982. “I made the decision to base my orthodontic practice on three very simple principles:  quality care, personal service and reasonable fees,” he says.  He attributes his success to holding true to these principles and meeting the orthodontic needs of area residents. He has patients from as far away as Geneseo, Ithaca, and Newark.

Each member of the treatment team is a specially-trained clinician, with an office staff that has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. “We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars,” he added.  At Dr. Littlejohn’s patients can expect a unique orthodontic experience that is fun, affordable, interactive, and provides a healthy and beautiful smile.

As a native of the area, Dr. Littlejohn feels blessed by the fact that so many of the local communities avidly support his practice and staff.  He strives consistently to give back to these communities by supporting students at all levels in their academic and extracurricular pursuits. He has just recently instituted the Positive Attitude Award for high school seniors exhibiting consistently great attitudes and leadership type qualities.

He believes that a civic-minded attitude is a benefit to ALL!

Dr. Rodney D. Littlejohn is a graduate of Mynderse Academy, St. Bonaventure University, and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from Georgetown University Dental School in 1979. He completed a one year dental residency at Rochester General Hospital and received his Graduate Orthodontic Certificate from the University of Buffalo Dental School. He is a member of the New York State Dental Society and the American Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Littlejohn lectures to throughout the U.S. on practice development, patient care, and practice management. He is a clinical instructor at the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and a lecturer at the orthodontic department at the University of Buffalo and at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

For the business’s success and growth, the Chamber is proud to recognize Dr. Rodney Littlejohn DDS, PC as its March Business of the Month.  The Business of the Month is sponsored by the Finger Lakes Times.
